Hotel Rules and Regulation
In order to make your stay as pleasant as possible, the Management requests your co-operation in observing the following as an agreement between the guest and the Gibsons Garden Hotel (hereinafter called 'Management') under which rooms are permitted to be used by the guest(s):
Payment Policies
A valid credit card is required at the time of booking to guarantee the reservation. The registered guest responsible for the room must be at least 19 years of age and provide a valid credit card in their name along with 1 piece of government-issued photo identification at the time of check-in. The hotel will process the credit card provided at the time of booking on the day of arrival. If the hotel is unable to secure the payment, the hotel reserves the right to cancel the reservation.
Deposit Policies
A minimum-security deposit of $400 will be collected if the guest pays by debit card, visa-debit, or master debit card. No cash payment is accepted. The deposit will be released at check-out, however, please be advised that it can take up to 10 business days for funds to be cleared by the credit card financial institution. In the unlikely event that the room is willfully or negligently damaged, the deposit will be withheld in full and applied to all repair and replacement costs. Should the costs exceed the $ 400 deposit, the full cost will be applied to the credit card at the time of booking.
Extra Guests and Extra Beds
All rooms rates are based upon two people occupancy. Any additional guests over 10 years of age will be charged $ 15/person per night when using the existing beds.
Children (6 to 9 years of age) charge $ 5 per person per night
Any type of extra bed, cot or crib is upon request and needs to be confirmed with the Guest Attendant at the Front Desk, and $20/night charge may be applied based on availability.
Supplements may not be calculated automatically in the total costs and will have to be paid for separately during your stay.
Departure
Check out time is 11:00 am. Please inform the Guest Attendant if you wish to retain your room beyond this time. Extensions will be given depending upon availability.
Late checkout: If the room is available, no additional fees will be applied up to 2:00 pm; Late checkout up to 6:00 pm will be charged for half of the room regular rate with taxes; After 6:00 pm, a full day of the regular rate with taxes will be applied.
On failure of the guest to vacate the room on expiry or period, or failure of the guest to inform the Guest Attendant about the late checkout will result in the management moving the guests' belongings. Late checkout fees will then be applied accordingly.
Pets
Pets are not permitted on these premises. Any guest found with a pet on the premises will be charged an additional $ 250 plus taxes for room clean up and treatment.
Smoking
Smoking is not allowed in any part of the hotel building, including court yard and balcony. Smoking however is only allowed outside the building in the designated areas. Failure to comply with this Provincial by law will result in an additional charge of $ 250 plus taxes for nicotine remediation of your room.
Kitchenette Unit Use
Guests who are in a kitchenette unit, please wash the used tableware and cutlery leaving them on the kitchen counter to dry before checking out of the room.
Guests’ Belongings
The Management and the Hotel will not in any way be responsible for any loss or damage to the guests’ belongings or valuables due to a guest’s negligence. This also includes lockers in the pool bathrooms and any other common area within the hotel property.
Damage to Property
The guest will be held responsible for any loss or damage to the hotel property caused by themselves, their guests or any other person that they are responsible for during their visit with us. The guest room inventory list and related cost is available at the front desk.
Managements’ Rights
It is ageed upon that any guest or party thereof the guest will conduct him or herself in a respectable manner and will not cause any nuisance or annoyance within the hotel premises. The management has the right to request any guest to vacate his/her room or any other areas of the hotel forthwith, without previous notice. The guest shall be bound to vacate when requested to do so.
Relation between Management and Guest
Nothing herein above shall continue or be deemed to constitute, or create any tenancy or sub-tenancy, or any other right to interact in the hotel premises or any part of portion thereof, in favour of any Guest or resident or visitor, and the Management shall always be deemed to be in full and absolute possession of the whole of the hotel premises.
Government Rules and Regulations and Application of Laws
Guests are requested to observe, abide, conform and be bound to all applicable acts and laws whether municipal, provincial or federal within or on the property of the Gibsons Garden Hotel.
The management reserves the right to itself the right to add to, or alter, or amend, any of the above terms, conditions, and rules which are apart and an abstract of the hotel’s keeper act.
