Located at the south end of British Columbia’s Sunshine Coast, Gibsons is a small but culturally vibrant costal community surrounded by some of the most spectacular scenery in the province. Only accessible by ferry, this tranquil town feels like a hidden gem, but is only a 40-minute ferry ride from Vancouver. In 2009, Gibsons was called the “most liveable community under 20,000”. It’s also well known as the setting for the hit Canadian TV show The Beachcombers. Frequently used as the backdrop for Hollywood movies, the city has an idyllic quality that makes it popular with vacationers looking to escape the urban hustle and bustle without venturing too far from the big city.
